About Mansfield PALS
The mission of Mansfield PALS is to serve as a village for parents and families and to create a space that supports kids in their development, as if they were our own.
As parents ourselves, we know how important a village is to raising children, and in many ways, our business is really about creating community. We believe when parents are supported, families are strong and kids will thrive. Each member of the Mansfield PALS team supports this, playing a central role in bringing to life the type of daycare and community we believe every child and family deserves.
Foundational to achieving our mission is to provide high-quality, full-time childcare. Mansfield PALS is a ~30 student daycare center established in 2022 by Kevin and Amy McIsaac, who are deeply passionate about the vision outlined above. Kevin has a background in corporate finance, Amy has a background in public service, and together, they have three young children.
About the Lead Preschool Teacher Role
The Lead Preschool Teacher will serve as a critical member of the team. With the help of a support teacher, he/she will run the curriculum and management of a classroom of ~20 preschool students in a newly designed classroom. This job is perfect for someone who wants to run a classroom and a preschool program.
Responsibilities
Tracking and informing parents of students' progress
Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement
Create a welcoming, engaging classroom space for children to learn, play, and grow that is conducive to learning
Develop and implement curriculum to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development
Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and in-person discussions
Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement
Build relationships with families and coworkers to create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen simultaneously and seamlessly
Requirements and Attributes
A passion for children and their healthy, safe, and age-appropriate development
MA EEC Teaching Certification (required)
Prior experience working with young children, preferably within a similar setting
Clear background check/no criminal record
Ability to attend monthly staff meetings, held outside of business hours, as required by EEC
A warm, positive personality; playful and silly personality is a plus!
Excellent problem-solving skills

About Working at Mansfield PALS

Hours
Mansfield PALS is open between 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday through Friday. The Lead Preschool Teacher role is a 40-hour per week position.
Salary
The Lead Preschool Teacher’s hourly rate is $22-23/hour, depending on experience and fit.
Benefits
The Lead Preschool Teacher is eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance (premiums fully covered by employer for individual plan or 50% covered by employer for family plan). The employer will fully cover workers’ compensation, disability insurance, and a group life insurance benefit double the Teacher’s annual pay. In addition, the employer will match up to 3% of the Teacher’s contributions to a retirement account.
Time Off
The Lead Preschool Teacher is eligible for paid time off. In addition, the Teacher will have time off to observe Federal and State holidays (New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Presidents’ Day, Patriots Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day).
Professional Development
The employer will sponsor professional development for the Lead Preschool Teacher in the areas she/he is interested in growing. All requirements to keep the Teacher’s licenses up to date will be covered by the employer.
